Terms of Use

CoinTrue: Coin Identifier · Last updated: October 16, 2026

By using CoinTrue you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The app

CoinTrue identifies United States coins from photos, shows estimated values by condition and lets you keep a collection on your phone. Identifying coins and seeing their values is free within a daily limit. Some additional features are part of CoinTrue Premium.

Values are estimates

Identifications are made by an AI model from your photos and can be wrong, especially with worn coins or poor lighting. When a reading is uncertain, the app asks you to confirm it. Values come from the Numista catalog and are estimates for typical coins in each condition. They are not an appraisal, a certification or an offer to buy or sell. Rare varieties, errors and certified coins can be worth much more or less. Before buying or selling a coin of significant value, consult a professional dealer or grading service.
